Road Trip-Day 1

Sorry I haven’t posted anything in a while. I’ve been busy with work and packing everything to move. I also recently when on a road trip with some friends of mine from college!

Day 1 of Road Trip (Raleigh to Atlanta)

So driving from Raleigh, North Carolina to Atlanta, Georgia takes about 6 hours…not too long, but long enough to get bored. So how do we entertain ourselves (after of course singing along to the radio for about 2-3 hours)?

We decided to say “Hi” to all the truck drivers to try to make their day a little better! Well, and also to watch their reactions and try to get them to use their horn… We may be in our early twenties, but we’re still kids at heart sometimes…Some of the truck drivers got really excited and starting smiling and waving like crazy, a few just casually waved, a couple just stared at us. Majority of them at least used their horn. You can watch a video of us doing this on my Twitter page.

Once we finally got to Atlanta, we went straight to World of Coca-Cola. The best thing about this stop was that I got the tickets for all 4 of us for free using My Coke Rewards.

World of Coca-Cola

My favorite part of the World of Coca-Cola experience was the Tasting Room, where you can try every flavor of soda Coca-Cola offers around the world! My advice: Unless you’re absolutely determined to try all of their 100+ flavors, don’t try Beverly. It tastes like cough syrup…However, almost every other flavor I tried was good.

The other parts of World of Coca-Cola are the Vault exhibit (where they supposedly keep the secret formula for Coke), Bottle Works (where they show you how Coke is bottled), a 4D ride, a Pop culture room, and an exhibit with the history of Coca-Cola. On your way out, you also get a free souvenir Coke! There are also displays of Coke bottles from around the world and other memorabilia throughout the building.
