Happy New Year everyone!
I’m happy to say I was able to do some traveling this year, even if it was just going to a few cities here in the United States. In May, I went on a short road trip with my roommate from college and two other friends. Our goal was to go to 3 of the top 5 aquariums in the U.S. but due to riots in Baltimore at the time we had to settle for only visiting 2 aquariums. We ended up visiting Atlanta, Philadelphia, Boston, and New York City.
I also took a late anniversary trip with my husband to Disney World in October. The highlight of that trip was Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival. Jason also learned that going somewhere with me he can’t get by with wearing flip flop sandals anymore…
2016 Travel Plans:
May-I hope to visit somewhere here in the United States since my birthday falls on a weekend this year. I haven’t decided where yet, but I’m thinking about Williamsburg, Charleston, or Savannah.
June-In June I’ll be traveling to Wabash, Indiana for my Great Aunt Ruth’s 80th birthday. Wabash, and Indiana in general, isn’t exactly the most exciting place to visit. There’s really not much to see and do there. My Aunt Ruth is part of my travel inspiration. Throughout her life she’s traveled all over the world, including Antartica. I remember growing up looking at all her souvenirs (not your typical somewhat tacky ones), and her wall leading to the kitchen that’s covered in posters, pictures, and all sorts of things from her travels.
October-This year we plan on spending our anniversary in Japan. The plan is to go for a week and see Tokyo, Matsumoto Castle, Kyoto, Osaka, & Nara.
